Male Incontinence Bins = hygiene, dignity and awareness

At Hygenie, we’re proud to be leading the way in providing Male Incontinence Bins across the UK. These facilities aren’t just about hygiene, they’re about dignity, inclusivity, and supporting men’s health in a way that too often gets overlooked.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Orchid – Fighting Male Cancer, we spoke with their CEO, Ali Orhan, about the impact that donations and initiatives like ours have on men nationwide.

Here’s what he had to say:

How important are donations like Hygenie’s to the work Orchid does in raising awareness and supporting men with prostate, penile, and testicular cancers?

Donations like Hygenie’s are absolutely vital to Orchid’s work. They enable us to raise awareness, break down stigma, and provide direct support to men and their families affected by prostate, penile, and testicular cancers. Quite simply, without this generosity, we couldn’t continue to deliver the services and campaigns that save lives.

What impact do you think the installation of male hygiene bins in public and workplace washrooms has on breaking stigma and encouraging open conversations about men’s health?

Installing male hygiene bins in public and workplace washrooms sends a powerful message – it normalises men’s health needs, helps break down stigma, and creates space for more open conversations about issues men often feel unable to talk about.

Why is providing dignity in male washrooms so important in today’s world – particularly for men living with incontinence, stomas, or medical conditions?

Providing dignity in male washrooms is about so much more than facilities – it’s about respect, compassion, and equality. For men living with incontinence, stomas, or other medical conditions, having access to appropriate washroom provisions means they can go about daily life without fear, embarrassment, or shame. In today’s world, dignity should never be a privilege – it should be a right.

What does it mean to Orchid to have organisations like Hygenie championing both men’s health and inclusivity through their services?

Having companies like Hygenie champion men’s health through their services means so much to Orchid. Their support not only helps us reach more men but also shows the power of breaking stigma and building a culture of openness around male health.

Hygenie has just installed its 100th male hygiene bin; what message would you like to share with other businesses and venues about why they should consider following this example?

Hygenie’s 100th male incontinence bin is more than a milestone – it’s a statement. We urge other businesses and venues to follow this example, because providing dignity and inclusivity in men’s washrooms helps break stigma, supports those with medical needs, and shows a true commitment to men’s health.

Why this partnership matters

Hearing directly from Orchid reinforces why this work is so important. Every bin we install doesn’t just provide a practical solution, it helps break stigma, opens conversations, and directly supports life-saving awareness and research.

We’re proud to have installed our 100th Male Incontinence Bin this year, but we know this is just the beginning. Our goal is to see these facilities in every male washroom, across every sector. Because dignity should never be optional.
