At Hygenie, we believe in supporting male dignity with washrooms suitable for every user.
That belief is what led us to partner with Orchid, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to fighting male cancers and raising awareness of male health issues.
Male incontinence is often linked to conditions such as prostate cancer and other health challenges. Yet despite how common it is, the facilities to support men in managing these conditions are still lacking in many public and commercial spaces.
This creates embarrassment, anxiety and for many, avoidance of public environments. Something as simple as the absence of appropriate disposal facilities can have a significant impact on quality of life.
Our partnership with Orchid is helping to raise awareness and improve facilities one washroom at a time, and for every male incontinence bin we install, we donate £5 to support the charity’s work.
This means we are contributing to raising awareness of male health issues, supporting vital research and education and making a real change in everyday situations – which is so simple – but has a major impact on the washroom user.
Providing male hygiene bins, you are not only improving hygiene standards in male washrooms, but you’re helping to reduce the stigma and supporting dignity to encourage openness and discussions around these issues. It’s a small change that makes a big difference.
Following increased awareness in the media, we’ve seen growing demand for male hygiene facilities particularly in football stadiums, public venues, workplaces and educational settings.
This is a positive step forward, but there is still work to do.
Our Goal
Our aim is simple:
To see male incontinence bins become standard in every male washroom across the UK.
Because dignity should never be optional.
