Male Incontinence Bins and our partnership with Orchid

Last year, Hygenie Washrooms launched an initiative that was about far more than providing another washroom service. We set out with a simple ambition: to improve dignity for men living with urinary incontinence and our partnership with Orchid – Fighting Male Cancer, continues to make a difference today by installing Male Incontinence Bins into organisations across the UK.

Six months into 2026, we’re proud to look back at what has already been achieved.

Male incontinence remains a topic that is often overlooked, despite affecting thousands of men across the UK, particularly those recovering from prostate cancer treatment or living with long-term medical conditions.

Every Male Incontinence Bin we install helps businesses create more inclusive washroom facilities, giving men the confidence to use public and workplace toilets knowing there is a hygienic and discreet way to dispose of incontinence products. It is a small addition that can make an enormous difference to someone’s dignity, independence and wellbeing.

The success of this initiative has only been possible because of the organisations that have chosen to install Male Incontinence Bins within their washrooms.

For every installation, Hygenie donates £5 to Orchid – Fighting Male Cancer, helping to fund the charity’s vital work in research, awareness, education and support for men affected by prostate, testicular and penile cancers.

Thanks to the continued support of our customers, we raised £360 during the first six months of 2026. We are delighted to announce that Hygenie has rounded this figure up, making a £450 donation to Orchid so far this year.

Every installation not only improves facilities for those who need them today but also contributes towards raising awareness and supporting future generations.

One of the most encouraging developments during the first half of the year has been the increasing conversation around men’s health and inclusive washroom design.

More organisations are recognising that providing suitable disposal facilities is not simply a hygiene consideration but it’s part of creating accessible, respectful workplaces and public spaces that support everyone.

As awareness grows, we hope to see Male Incontinence Bins become as commonplace as sanitary disposal units, ensuring nobody feels excluded because of a medical condition.

We’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved during the first half of 2026, but we see this as just the beginning.

Our goal is simple: to continue increasing the availability of Male Incontinence Bins across UK workplaces and public venues while raising even more funds for Orchid. Every installation helps create more inclusive washrooms, sparks important conversations about men’s health, and provides practical support for those living with conditions that are too often hidden from view.
