4 Professional Tips for a CLEAN Office/Premises

With more and more staff going back to work and another wave of COVID occurring across the UK, ensuring offices and workplaces are kept as clean and hygienic as possible is on everyone’s minds.

At Hygenie Washrooms, we have over 10 years of experience working with the best products in the cleaning and washrooms industry. So you can trust us to know our stuff…

The tips we’re giving you here are ideal for offices, universities, schools, leisure centres, gyms, showrooms and many other workplaces. So, without further ado, here they are – our top 4 tips from our professionals for keeping a clean workplace:

  1. Touchpoints
Walk through your workplace and think about all the common ‘touchpoints’. For example, light switches, door handles, kitchen appliances, stair rails etc. It’s so important you regularly clean these touchpoints with a strong sanitiser. We recommend our surface sanitiser spray which lasts up to 5 hours of residual protection. If you know there’s high footfall in these areas, you could install freestanding or wall-mounted hand sanitiser stands as a reminder to sanitise hands.
  2. Staff Education
Do your staff know best practices to keep their workspace clean? Do you have a policy in place for them to follow? Even though hot-desking isn’t an option during the pandemic, your staff should be ensuring their own workspace is kept clean to stop the spread of any germs or viruses. Remind them to keep keyboards, phones, desk surfaces, lamps, drawer handles etc. clean. Make sure your staff have access to sanitising equipment! We also offer desktop sanitiser stations/wipes and surface sanitisers
  3. Washrooms
With winter approaching, we are bound to see an increase in seasonal bugs and viruses. Public and staff washrooms can be a breeding ground for these bugs, so it’s important to keep them clean. We would suggest a few key products for your washrooms:

    • Air Purifiers – (air steril units use dual lamp UV technology and germicidal irradiation to kill airbourne bacteria, viruses, mould and fungi drawn into the equipment either by a fan or by thermal convection.
    • Urinal/WC Sanitisers (they work by automatically injecting a measured dose of an enzyme-based sanitising fluid into the cistern, attacking the source of the problem, rather than masking it.)
    • Toilet Seat Sanitisers (kills 99.99% of bacteria found on toilet seats)
  4. Entrances
Do you have a high footfall coming through the entrance to your premises? Autumn and Winter bring the wetter weather, which means people dragging in dirt and more cleaning to do. Many of our customers have opted for floor mats for their entrances. These mats not only reduce the amount of dirt coming in, they look professional (can be branded!) and can be regularly laundered to keep it looking clean and fresh.
