Green Templeton College is one of the 38 colleges within Oxford University. The College has recently appointed a new supplier – Hygenie Washrooms, to improve the “washroom experience” for the students that occupy the 230 rooms at the college.
The College has in-house and contract cleaners that clean student buildings and rooms every day. The standards set are high and listed in every building.
Before Hygenie was appointed the College had been receiving an unreliable service from a supplier that sometimes left bins overflowing and left in the sun. This was not only unsightly but was also unhealthy for the residents.
Green Templeton College selected Hygenie earlier this year, as they promised a more personal, extensive, reliable and competitive service. This promise is now being delivered, with Hygenie providing services to manage sanitary bins, air fresheners and water management systems for the urinals. It was also more efficient to have one supplier than a number of different companies providing this service.

Green Templeton was established in 2008 and is Oxford University’s newest College. The College was formed by bringing together two main areas – medicine, health and the social sciences (Green College) and business and management (Templeton College). The college is a postgraduate college with a diverse and lively international student body. 60% of the students come from countries outside the UK., occupying 230 student rooms.

Hygenie introduces a new service for effective management of sanitary waste for Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) has appointed Hygenie, a provider of washrooms services, to ensure that the management of sanitary waste is dealt with more effectively as part of a constant review of procedures.
There are a number of legal strict legal requirements that sanitary waste disposal must comply with including – Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulation: the Environment Protection Act; The Water Industries Act and the Duty of Care Regulations. An internal review of the services delivered by the existing provider had identified the need to address risks of cross contamination, ligature and to provide more effective sanitary units. BSMHFT initiated a market testing exercise to identify providers that offered a proven solution to address this issue and selected Hygenie.
